Our topic is ‘Yabba
Dabba Doo!’, which is about the Stone Age and Iron Age. We have been learning about history and have
made a Toilet Paper Timeline. The Stone
Age was 78 sheets ago (1 sheet equals 100 years) and the dinosaurs became
extinct 2,166 rolls ago. In Computing we
have been learning how to program in Scratch and have made some
animations. We have been learning about
volcanoes in Science. We have researched
why they erupt and how hot they are. We
have also learnt that the centre of the earth is 60 times hotter than boiling
water. In Maths we have been learning
about 2D shapes and 3D shapes. A 19
faced 3D shape is a nonadecahedron. In Art
we created caves and drew on the ceiling (it was really the underside of our
desks!). For English we are writing a
story and it is based on ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’.
In all our learning we are trying to show a Growth Mindset.
